This September, Cape Town becomes a city-wide gallery as the Cape Town Photo Festival is underway with a vibrant, thought-provoking programme that celebrates photography in all its forms. From groundbreaking exhibitions and artist talks to hands-on workshops, music performances, and panel discussions, the festival brings together acclaimed international names, celebrated South African voices, and rising talent to explore the art, craft, and future of photography.

Centered at 6 Spin Street Gallery but spanning venues from Simon’s Town to Bellville, Observatory to Kalk Bay, the festival is a meeting point for photographers, creatives, and curious newcomers alike. Expect the unexpected: AI debates with leading visual thinkers, intimate artist meet-and-greets, immersive printmaking demonstrations, live music that crosses genres, and bold new perspectives from across the globe.

With events for everyone, the Cape Town Photo Festival is as accessible as it is inspiring. Drop in for a gallery opening on a First Thursday, dive deep into a specialist workshop, or spend the day moving between exhibitions and talks — the choice is yours.

Van die grootste Suid Afrikaanse sterre vorm deel van hierdie ongelooflike vertoning, waar die antikwiteit van gister se goue musiek, soomloos een word met die werke wat ons vandagsterker maak in ons geloof.

Dit is nie net bloot ‘n vertoning van aanbidding en inspirasie nie, dit is ‘n vertoning wat daarin poog om elke individu wat dit ervaar te laat reflekteer op wie hulle is en en wat hulle werklike doel is op aarde – om ‘n verskil te maa ken mekaar innerlik te beweeg.

Die vertoning spog met Rudi se eie simphonies orkes, gelei deur die ongelooflike konsert meester, Evert Van Niekerk, ‘n band, manskoor asook ‘n kinderkoor, dansers, en meer. Rudi Claase glo nog altyd om ander minder bekende sangers blootstelling te gee, die gas kunstenaar is : Ryan Walt, Rea Le Roux, Michelle Grace, Batsua Jacobs, Shekira Harmse, Sonja Loggenberg en Marietjie du Plessis.

Die vertoning word aangebied deur radio omroepers Riaan Grobler en die pragtige Lume Van Schalkwyk.

Rudi: “Afrikaans is nie net ‘n vertoning nie….ek is nie daar om mense te beindruk nie, ek is wel bewus van die gawe en talent wat ek van die Here ontvang het, maar sonder om die Gees van die Mensdom te beweeg, is my gawe sinneloos.”
