Our client, a managed services provider, is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Mid Level IT Support Engineer to join their busy team. You will play a crucial role in providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for their clients. Your focus will be on resolving complex networking and server-related issues, ensuring optimal performance and security of client systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive networking and server experience and a strong working knowledge in AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

Minimum Requirements:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
Familiarity with ITIL principles and best practices.
Previous experience in a managed services provider (MSP) or IT consulting firm.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in networking and server administration within an IT managed services or consulting environment.
Experience with network security, firewall management, and VPN technologies.
Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent are highly advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver second-level technical support to clients via phone, email, and in-person, addressing networking and server issues.
Diagnose and resolve complex problems, including network connectivity, server hardware failures, and software configuration.
Monitor, analyze, and report on network and server performance to maintain optimal operations.
Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure and server systems.
Collaborate with Level-1 support engineers, project managers, and vendors to resolve escalated issues and provide timely solutions.
Document all support activities, including troubleshooting steps, issue resolution, and client communication, accurately.
Maintain and update technical documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Manage and prioritize tasks, service requests, and projects efficiently, adhering to SLAs and deadlines.
Proactively identify areas for improvement in clients’ networking and server environments and suggest appropriate solutions.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to provide proactive recommendations.
