We are seeking a Teaching and Learning Manager who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating teaching and learning strategies in line with our institutional goals. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in Education, 3-5 years of higher education teaching experience, and expertise in regulatory frameworks and lecturer development. This role involves leading initiatives to integrate technology into learning, ensuring compliance with educational standards, and fostering a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement. Strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to drive change are essential.

Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree or higher in Education or a related field
3-5 years of teaching and learning experience in higher education, with effective teaching methodologies
Experience with the Higher Education regulatory landscape
Experience in lecturer development, reflective practice, and assessment strategies
Proficient in using technology to enhance learning and understanding of regulatory frameworks
Knowledge of South African Further and Higher Education environment and regulatory framework (NQF, SAQA, CHE, DHET, HEQSF)
Proven effective teaching based on reflective practice
Demonstrated scholarship in Teaching and Learning
Familiarity with current teaching and learning trends and technologies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration and relationship-building
Leadership abilities and the ability to drive change
Ability to work overtime, travel, and work weekends
Valid driver’s license

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and evaluate teaching and learning strategies aligned with institutional goals
Support and mentor lecturers in adopting innovative teaching practices
Ensure compliance with relevant HE regulatory frameworks and standards
Foster a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement among teaching staff
Lead initiatives to integrate technology into the learning environment
Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the quality of education
Oversee the development and implementation of assessment strategies to measure student outcomes
Drive the professional development of academic staff through workshops, training, and other opportunities
Engage in scholarly activities to advance the field of teaching and learning within the institution
